The Smart Water, Smart Cities conference took place in Barcelona on the 15 th November and was organized by the We Are Water Foundation within the framework of the iwater meeting.

This edition focused on the water problem both in cities and in tourist destinations, mainly in Mexico, with a vision towards Latin America/Caribbean, which gave continuity to the Smart Water conferences held in Mexico in 2014 and 2015.

Mexican/Caribbean and Spanish decision makers (regulatory agencies, large consumers, hotel operators, hotel developers, etc.) with presence or interests in Mexico/Caribbean participated in Smart Water – Smart Cities Barcelona, while professionals, companies and institutions with an interest in matters related to water in Latin America were also invited.
