It has the power of equality, keeping girls in school when they reach puberty and ensuring they don’t have to drop out because there isn’t enough water for menstrual hygiene.
It’s powerful, bringing health to all who drink it. It can also kill people who drink it when it’s in poor condition.
It can wipe out hunger and poverty, enabling those who have it to work their fields, give their livestock enough to drink, and not have to leave their homes and migrate to cities thus making them unsustainable.
It can build alliances and unite communities. It’s also essential for achieving peace and justice in the world.
However, this power is not yet within everyone’s reach.
With great power comes great responsibility. And ours is to ensure that the hundreds of millions of people without access to clean water will have it one day.
Our Foundation’s projects are our driving force to bring the Power of Water to those who need it most.
Since 2019, the We Are Water Foundation and European Resorts managed by HGV have brought water, sanitation and hygiene to over 1.4 million people and raised more than €98,000 which has been provided to six Foundation projects.
